IR2 Affordable housing project
Kwantlen First Nation's inaugural partnership with BC Housing is a 65-unit residential development located at 10011 Wilson Street in Mission, BC, situated on the Nation's traditional lands along the banks of Stave River. The project has undergone a significant evolution from its initial site selection to construction methodology culminating in its current and most refined form: a meaningful step toward welcoming Kwantlen Members back home.
Despite the complexities of a challenging site and limited infrastructure, the project team has worked in close collaboration with Kwantlen leadership to turn obstacles into opportunities. The building will include a mix of one-, two, and three-bedroom homes along with a cultural gathering space and residential services area designed to meet the needs of both Elders and families.
Work is progressing onsite on this exciting and important project for Kwantlen. Occupancy Date is estimated to be April 27, 2027.
More updates to come.
